I have indeed found a miserable-looking dodo in London. He currently owns and operates Harrod's....

Good to know Steampunk-kind has a refuge in Spare Googles.

kinda reminds me of Helm's Deep, going from the main forum to this...

Thanks very much for setting up this little refuge, Pheobsky.

Might I suggest we publicize the place on the main forums a little when they're back up, against just just this kind of eventuality occuring again?

I like to think of it as the "battle bridge" for when we are forced from the main deck. Very Happy

It could be any number of things. A pudding gone horribly wrong? A consortium of brains in jars that don't like fun? Squrrels with rayguns? The kink thread taking revenge for being deleted? An automated tea pot that won't stop pouring on peoples laps?

I was of the opinion that it was blue meanies...

...although horribly gone wrong puddings could well be the cause...

...... perhaps it sparked an unruly mob of mildly dissatisfied bakers ...vexed by the poor state of the banoffee pie. Suspect

I'll just quick add my voice to the chorus of thanks for setting this up. Very Happy

It could always be worse. One forum I used to visit (not a steampunk one) had the site owner up and leave, dropping everything in the secondary admin's lap. Emails to the effect that the secondary admin didn't have site owner access and couldn't fix certain troubles were to no avail. The small community that had developed on that forum ended up having to pull up stakes entirely. No fun...

I suppose that the old AS/400 S150 I have in storage wouldn't help? (it was simply too nice a little box to chuck in the last move.. It runs just fine, too.. Very Happy )
