There was... but it died due to lack of activity two or three years ago.
Cheers!

Found it now:
brassgoggles.org/forum/index.php/topic,14462.msg700729.html#msg700729
But there is no REPLY Button, so I cannot revive that one.
Do you have a REPLY-Button in your spares box?

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
Wow... just had to stop in and check the old place out. Kind of dusty.
I guess that's good, not much in the way of down time for the Real BG lately. Still miss the original Clocktower, though. Haven't been keeping up much on the SP line IRL; Real Life (TM) gets in the way so much. Tried to start a local group last year, but it pretty much died on the vine. La Contessa and I were the only ones doing much for the group, everybody else was seemingly sitting on the sidelines, rooting occasionally, but not really there for it, if you take my meaning.
Well, I guess I will have my usual, then turn down the gaslights and leave the place to the echoes and the dust.
Cheers
Chas.

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
Sounds reasonable.
The thing that made the Clocktower special, though, was that it was started in a time when not all clubs and groups had to be stuck in their own ghetto. We can try, but I won't get my hopes up.
Cheers

BAck again
....comes in, finds everything covered in a liberal amount of dust.
At least the bar is well stocked.
Picks up the key, winds up the barkeeper and gathers stuff to light a fire and put the kettle on.

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
it's curious in my mind that it never seems to occur to me to come here unless the main site goes down. In fact it looks very nearly that the last time I posted here, was a couple years ago in the midst of similar health problems.
maybe if things work out this time we could give the place a visit from time to time? a sort of less formal gather site.

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
*steps out of the broom closet*
Well, the secret entrances seem to be functionally sound. I haven't tried th' sewer yet, however. I don't suppose I could get someone else to handle that one, could I?
Barkeep, a pint of your best stout, if you will.
Capital idea, Mr. Rovingjack. I wonder if we can make it work...

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
*foul odour permeates the room, and then a dark figure in full body rubber suit and scuba gear emerges from the water closet*
We got that entrance covered mates I guess I'll head to the showers...

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
*digs through his huge backpack, pulls out a contraption that looks like bits of a telescope, grandfather clock and shovel welded together. Holds it up*
Give me a few minutes to fire up the boiler and get the heating and warm water going.
*heads to the boiler room, stops, turns around*
No, this is the telescopic shovel #2. It now HAS limit switches. No need to be afraid......

Hesting and hot water should be there any minute now.
Someone put the kettle on!

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
Same old routine:
Emergency exits are *here*, *here* and *here*.
I´ll go back to the boiler room.
*grabs the shovel and leaves*

*blows the dust off his armchair, sits down*
I wonder where the others are. They should be here already.
Did anyone inform the maitenance folks about the breakdown of the main Machine?
Seems like a fan belt slipped off.

*Takes a bottle of 50 yr old Whisky from behind the bar, sits by the fire and pours two generous amounts*
There you go, old chap.

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
OK, let´s dust this place off a bit.
*gets behind the bar*
What do we have here?
Seems we did not do the dishes last time we left.
I´ll take care of that.
Someone light the fire.
*starts washing up*

Re: Return to the Clocktower...
Wiping his finger along the surface of a booth table, MW coughs and grimaces. "I don't suppose there's a pint in the house?"
He stows the timebrick in his coat pocket and glances about the place. "Oh, hello there..."
He piles a few papers and then several small-diameter logs in the grate, and strikes a match to the pile.
