"How well do you know your Mad Scientists?" quiz
Test your knowledge of literature's mad scientists!
http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/quiz/2008/sep/10/sciencefictionfantasyandhorror.cern
My score:
"You scored 7 out of a possible 14.
You've emerged a fair way from the primordial slime but there's a long way to go before you're standing fully upright. Back to the lab."
Back to Misunderstood Scientist school for me!
Note: This is posted here in the Library, the reasonong being it's an article, ergo something to be read. If anyone thinks there's a more appropriate place for it, go ahead.

Couldn't resist:
You scored 10 out of a possible 14
Your may have been teased by schoolfriends as a science geek but you'll have the last laugh – listen out for that recruitment call from CERN
I get to blow up the world... Huzzah

Likewise, ten of fourteen. Which means that with the first half of the quiz being a series of educated guesses, and being mostly sure of the second half... I managed to make an educated guess and got it right.

Ah well, I don't need to know of other mad scientists. I make my own way.

Re: "How well do you know your Mad Scientists?" quiz
14 out of 14. Though two of them were lucky/educated guesses...
A call from CERN ? Pah. I'm BUILDING my own CERN. That will show them after they laughed at my theories. Oh, yes.

8 out of 14. I'm not really a mad scientist, I'm only moderately deranged.

Re: "How well do you know your Mad Scientists?" quiz
9 outta 14...... but there was only one of the questions that I knew.....
Does that mean that I have to go and re-bury all the body parts I've been putting together? And now what do I do with my brilliant invention of "blood soup" to re-animate the body? can't just flush it down the drain or I might get cited for improper toxic waste disposal.... Drat... I shoulda been reading more novels instead of perfecting my maniacal laugh.....

Nooooo! I got 7, but on each question I got wrong I seriously considered what turned out to be the correct answer.

10 of 14. Three of the 10 were guesses. Now I have several new additions to my "must-read" list.

Re: "How well do you know your Mad Scientists?" quiz
12 out of 14
Not bad I suppose, but Am I Mad???
Not mad! They all said I was mad! But what to they know? Those Philistines at the Paracelsius Institute for Advanced Demagoguery would not know "MAD" if a madman bit one of them on the posterior!
I am privy to great secrets and magnificent discoveries and yet those who hold the purse strings for research grants are too foolish to understand my need of One Million Pounds, two shillings, thruppence to create an engine to see into the very building blocks of the universe!
They'll Pay! You'll see!
I have the iron for the elecrto-magnets--Crimean War Surplus canon balls.
I have the wire--left overs from the transAtlantic cable.
I have located the perfect site: On the Swiss-French border. It is not ideal--no castles or ruined abbeys nearby for my lair. But if needs must! The villagers seem quiet enough--the Burgomeister says they have not had a pitchfork and torch mob for many years.
But I need that money! Someone is bound to snap up that village--Cern, it is called--soon and I must have that site!!
Wait--Its already been rented?
Never mind . . .
