I suppose one of the problems with starting a thread whose purpose is to allow for racy comments is that it may attract people who are looking to have such comments made about them, and therefore influence the sort of images presented.
Oh come now, Professor, surely you cannot be so naive as to think that this does not go on regularly on BG?
As always, this thread is for general photos & dress-up photos, for those seeking tasteful commentary.
Thank you for starting the Silent as well as the Salacious threads.
I...didn't mean to imply I thought it didn't happen, I was merely musing on the subject. In any case you're welcome. So long as BG remains oit I hope they see a reasonable ammount of activity.

Fabulous outfit Lady Penelope! The goggles really add a fantasy touch. It'd good to see that you have made it safely to our refugee camp!

Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...
Nicely done Lady P, did you make the brooch?
I really like your telescope.
I really like your telescope.
Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...
Thank you! I think I actually joined this forum the day its creation was announced on Facebook, but work has been busy lately, so I haven't had a chance to check it much.
The brooch is made from Sculpey (the airship) and jewelry findings (the brass wings and wheel, and the pin back). I also made the epaulettes and goggles. The telescope was a store-bought toy (I think it started out as a Pirates of the Caribbean spyglass), but I tore the paper label off it and replaced it with a glued-on scrap of leather left over from my goggles project. The jacket (and the plain black trousers you can't see in the picture) is exactly as I found it at the store, except for the addition of gold ribbon trim. (On the trousers, I used a 3/4" wide strip of gold ribbon trim down the outside seam of each leg.)

Mich, that is just wonderful! You always look so well-turned out! You have quite a few accessories, but it all works together. I am quite a fan of knee-length pants ("knickers" in the US) and have several pair. The corset top is that fabulous watch print - did you make it? You have an excellent sense of style.

Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...
The corset looks to be silver and black brocade to me. But I'll second that compliment on the short pants.

I'm sure you've all seen this picture by now, I post it so many places :
Here is a not-steampunk-related, but new and interesting picture to make up for the repost of a repost
Hello Ms. Sullivan! Thank you for starting a picture thread!
P.S. I actually smile in most pictures, these are the exceptions, really

Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...
hmm...It's the first I've seen, and as so, it's most welcome. As salacious as the salacious thread could possibly hope for. Hopefully I'll add some after our adventures at the Academy of Sciences in two weeks! As it is, your name is surely most appropriate, as those images certainly would inspire me towards both libel And slander.

Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...
Ms Boo, much as I love the flight-caps, I appreciate seeing your hair there in it's natural state. It is most becoming on you, and methinks it should be another one added to the "girls of steampunk" site!
Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...

Re: Okay, somebody had to do it...
Please, Gentlemen and Ladies, try to keep the personal remarks to a minimum.
Many people do not care to have their personal looks remarked upon. On the other hand, some do. If you are looking for people to marvel at your physical assets, please post those pictures in the Salacious Thread.
If you are overcome by another's beauty and simply cannot refrain from making comments, please PM the recipient, or carry on with your appreciation in the Salacious Thread.
This thread is for posting tasteful photographs of oneself, one's creative outfits, and any other objects (art, architecture, etc.) that may be of interest to Steampunks.
Comments of a general nature ("you look lovely", "handsome outfit") are acceptable, as are comments about the construction of an outfit, etc. Please refrain from overly personal remarks about others' looks.
I think we all know the difference.

Me in my Victoriental get-up, waiting in the Browncoats line to see the Firefly cast panel at Dragon*Con this year:
(It's a bit hard to tell from this picture, due to the similarity of fabrics, but I'm wearing a red/black corset over a black/red cheongsam, and a black lace shawl over both.)
