Registration problems

I've been trying to register at Brass Goggles. I get to the part where it says its sending an activation email, but I never get it. A few hours later I ask it for a repeat activation email and it denies knowing anything about me.

Same here. Any help, anyone?

Update: trying to get a resend of the activation email (Did you miss your activation email? link) gets a report:

"That email address (<my email>) is being used by a registered member already. If you feel this is a mistake, go to the login page and use the password reminder with that address."

But the password reminder function refuses to work until the account is activated.

the resend activation email link given after an unsuccessful login attempt (must activate account first) claims to work, but I'm still not getting the email.

On a closer look, this is confusing:

An Error Has Occurred!
A new activation email has successfully been sent.

Could I add my name to list of people this has affected. Seems to be the exact same problem.

I think, since BG is up and running... No one that can do anything is reading these forums posts. We have to be patient and wait until someone actually takes the time to stop and read these to see our plight.

I have seen guest posts on BG but I have know idea how to do it.

Perhaps a call for help on a better used topic?

I just tried getting a new email again (just in case) and to my amazement it told me I was already registered. I am now successfully logged in!

I don't know if I have a mysterious benefactor or the system just fixed itself. Let me know how you get on and if you are still having trouble I'll see if I can find help.

Tried login / activation recovery again, was back to "user does not exist" again.

Cleared cookies, repeated registration. No sign of activation email yet.

I have flagged up the issues over at Brass Goggles, hopefully someone will be able to help.

It wont let me post a link but it is the 'Issue summary as of August 16, 2012' topic in the engine room.

Peter has been manually activated. Looks as if the confirmation emails may have a problem again.. any issues registering, pm or email me..
