London Hospital / Casualty 1907
I've recently been watching the BBC production London Hospital on my local publicly funded TV channel, TVO. I understand it was called Casualty 1906/7 when it was originally broadcast in Britain.
Steampunkers should enjoy watching it, because it's much more than just a Victorian costume drama. There's a fair bit of "mad science" going on in the Radiology and Light Therapy departments -- goggles & all!
And the "punk" aspect is certainly in evidence, with the poverty and desperation of the East End at that time portrayed without any romanticizing. [This aspect is particularly interesting to me, as my granfather was born in Stepney in the late 19th century, the 11th child of a stevedore who worked on the London Docks.]
All of the stories presented are based on real cases from ward reports, newspaper articles, diaries, journals, etc.
I was particularly charmed by one character, a grizzled old Cockney haunting the waiting room, who had chalked the words "Hard Up" on the front of his dodgy bowler hat. You can't get more "punk" in spirit than that!
Here's a write-up about the show from the MailOnline:

Re: London Hospital / Casualty 1907
I did find more info on it. It looks like they ran in 2006-2007 on BBC One. I could not find PBS viewings here in the states. I did happen to run across some links showing there were torrents of the series available online.

The show sounds interesting.
