My 'new' umbrella.

Post  Gazongola on Sat Sep 20, 2008 6:20 am

This is my new umbrella, which I got for the princely sum of 5. It is in need of a little TLC, so any advice on how to repair it is appreciated. The handle is tipped with London hallmarked silver (that black thing in need of polish) and the handle and shaft are a sort of bamboo. It is a bit dirty, but should wash off and probably best if I waterproof it too.

(Ahh! No spoiler tag!)

You can see the holes in the top. Not sure how to go about patching them. I don't want to get it recovered, I want to try to restore the original material.
