Things to do while Brassgoggles is down
This is inspired by pleated jean's Things to Do When the Internet is Down
---
I made this forever ago and just recently uncovered it on an old hard drive. Seemed appropriate to post it now.

Make a new astrolabe (mathematical jewel) to replace the worn-out one you made ten years ago.

I think I'm with MWB on this one.
I might go make something
Well ........ at least I'll have something to post about once the engineers have purged the db tables of floating errors, undefined indexes and non-objects.
*ahem*
I mean flushed the engines of malevolent flying electro-squids.
;D

I decided to solder some brass
I decided to braze/solder some brass and I started doing so but the gas canister was almost empty. Now I am left with almost nothing at all to do.
Instead I started working on my Xwidget version of the Steampunk Volume widget but a grumpy wife, huffing and puffing around the house is putting paid to that too. Are wives powered by steam and are they programmed to annoy?

Binge-watch Legend: The Complete Series on DVD (just released this January).
This is the 1995 television series starring Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver, Stargate SG-1) and John de Lancie ("Q" from Star Trek: The Next Generation). Anderson is the author of a popular series of dime novels who is often mistaken for his fictional character, and de Lancie is the Tesla-in-All-But-Name inventor who provides inventions based on the stories to assist the author to "become" the character for the purpose of real-life heroics.
Pretty funny. Anderson's got decent comedic chops as the author-cum-hero and it's nice to see de Lancie play a likeable character.
(Okay, because I'm a "new" member, I can't post links to either the show's IMDb or Wikipedia page, and likewise the link to the DVD at Barnes & Noble. So, you're on your own there.)
Twelve episodes on two discs (the pilot is a two-hour episode), no subtitles or special features. But still a good deal for ten bucks (B&N ships for free with orders of $25 or more, in case you haven't gotten your latest Steampunk novel yet).
