This is very cool video that was recently discovered of various London scences circa 1904, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/3248605/Lost-film-footage-of-Edwardian-London-discovered.html

Interesting... I would love to see the other 11 minutes of it though.

Apparently the original was probably four times as long, but they have 12 minutes of it. they showed 1. Sad

I followed the link within the article to the London film festival page, and found this:

http://www.bfi.org.uk/lff/high_treason_0?utm_source=related1&utm_medium=internal&utm_campaign=related

It's a view of London in the future...that is, as the filmmaker imagined it might be in the future (1950s), way back in the early 1920s.... Very Happy

(Make sure you look at all the pictures; there are five in all, I think. A must-see if you like airships. Smile )

That looked fantastic, so I did a little searching, and what do I see, someone has uploaded it to YouTube!

11 minutes of pure awesome, I loved all the 1920's special effects Very Happy

Hmmmm. Found here in Canberra. I think a lunchtime trip over to the National Film and Sound archive is in order...

Though it was probably in the warehouse of film stuff out at Mitchell, but someone there will know more. I shall report back in due course.
