A list of useful web sites for period sources
We should probably have a list of useful web sites for period sources...
Project Gutenberg has lots of public domain books (Verne, Wells, Carroll,...)
Distributed Proofreaders is helping in the effort.
Librivox has lots of free audio books
Public Domain Torrents Has a bunch of movies including Sherlock Holmes ones.
Anyone want to add any more? Any music sources along these lines?
Z.
[Note: this was split off the "Alice's Adventures" topic.]

Re: A list of useful web sites for period sources
Free ebooks, available in many formats, including PDF; covers all genres so not everything is going to be of interest
http://manybooks.net/
http://feedbooks.com/
http://www.munseys.com/site/home
(disclaimer - I haven't used any of these sites yet but they are recommended by the folks on the Mobile Read forum. The Mobile Read forum http://www.mobileread.com/ is also a good source of free ebooks mostly formatted for specific readers.)

What a great idea starting a new thread for it...
Unfortunately this was one of those ideas that sort of grew as I posted... But thank you for splitting it.
