This place is not exactly user friendly, any chance von corax could contact yet another constantly absent Admin, Stella and gain control?

Juggle stuff about a bit and have a good practice at being Admin, plus I would be a lot happier having some one who actually gives a sh*t at the helm of the lifeboat.

She took over, posted her e-mail, you contact her and..............nothing.

Not a good state of affairs, the words debacle and fiasco are always on my mind lately.

It's bad stewardship. If you manage an online community and no longer have the time or interest to look after it, but it's still active, the least you can do is transfer control to members who still care about it.

OK, we should not rely on this place as a refuge, I've e-mailed Stella 4 times with no reply, yet another forum with Admin issues, no active moderators and she shows no interest what so ever apart from the title.

Although she did log in after 4 months absence.

Our lifeboat could need a dinghy.

It's not very active, and why I'm interested in thinking about what to do next with the people here, hopefully in order to create a strong and reliable community. But in the meantime, it's there...

Now, this might get a bit complicated, but I try and explain best I can.

Cast your mind back when Pheobsky had the forum, you tried to become a member and it had to be approved.

Stella was handed the keys and changed the setting to open registration.

Through experimenting I found out that any previous e-mail attempt is now still blocked, so you tried ages ago with me @ whatever and that mail is still registered as used, so you can't use it again.

Is there any way to either approve all previous attempts or delete them so the e-mail can be used currently as a new member registration?

I remember Caledonian having this same problem.

If it can be resolved, we might get new members/ old faces from BG joining, who previous failed.

Just a thought...........

Guest traffic has increased since BG down, so who are these people and how did they find us? possibly old members?

And while your delving into the belly of the beast, any chance you could change some font colours? Black and dark red on brown are not agreeable with my old eyes, I am seriously having problems reading some stuff.......

The activation of past attempts has worked ok.

As a result some people may now have multiple accounts, I was wondering if it's possible to not ban them but delete them so the e-mail can be used again in the future if necessary.
