Analog Laptop, and what to do with it...
I will have to get some pics later, if I can find that furshlugginer camera, but what I have is a Victorian Lap Desk. It is in somewhat battered but restorable condition as it is - fortunately it isn't missing much of the tortoiseshell, but there is one very tricky silver inlay that it missing completely. I cringe at having to replace that. The fold-out writing surface is sound, though the velvet needs to be replaced, of course. The inkwell is still there, though it is missing the lower cap. The letter/stationery dividers are all sound; theoretically, the whole thing could be restored and polished up.
But... I have some ideas tickling at the edge of my imagination. I have an older laptop with a tiny screen that might fit in where the stationery dividers are now, with the "guts" fitting in below the writing surface. If I were to use one of those roll-up flexible keyboards... No, I don't want to cut the lapdesk for a fan slot... something else, perhaps.
Any ideas?
