Spithead...we have a problem
So, as of today 0900 Australian Time, it appears that the mutant badgers have once again devoured the engineers, once more rendering the good ship Brass Goggles unavailable.

Re: Spithead...we have a problem
Hmmm... yes, we are finding the same here.
It seems to be trying to load, almost loading... and then the hill is just too much for the little engine. So sad.
Well, fewmets.
Chas.

Re: Spithead...we have a problem
Something was happening for a brief moment, but alas, like so much ice on a warm summers day, it melted before my very eyes.

Are you sure it wasn't:-
"The summer sun is fading as the year grows old,
and darker days are drawing near,
the winter winds will be much colder,
now you're not here".?

We're gonna build a whole new world for ourselves. Look, they
clap eyes on us and we're dead, right?
So we gotta make a new life where they'll never find us. You know where?

Bite me!
Actually by that I was meaning a slow bg usually had no links with the cause of bg going down - 9 out of 10 times it was caused by overloaded routers / other websites with high traffic, or an "unknown" cause of false network traffic (probably a hardware fault or glitch). At least according to Proteus...

Yes, I am getting just enough connection - occasionally - for a bit of a tease.
I can load a page, or maybe half a page, before it goes Tango Uniform.
Grr.

Same here, seems to want to load, but then makes up its mind that it is all to hard, and returns to the pit.

Re: Spithead...we have a problem
Disclaimer: I work for an ISP.
Are there any "publicly available" specs for the server that BG runs on? Or the traffic it generates? I've got some spare hardware of my own lying around doing nothing, so it would be interesting to see if my gear could handle the site...

I kinda thought the same.
I have lots of space and bandwidth at daily.
Just a question as to wether it would be enough
