Anyone else a fan of the Gentleman bastards?
The Scott Lynch books: Lies of Locke Lamora & Red Seas under Red Skies.
The novella was due to be published today (I've had it on preorder for, oooh, a couple of years now :/ ) and yet again there's no news...
I can see why the man is getting death threats... I love the first two books. Any other fans?

Holy Sh*t yes.... I've been waiting for the next one for AGES!....
The manager of my local Waterstones has me on speed dial when it comes in. She got fed up with me asking every day
The books were more alchemypunk than any other fantasy genera, but had elements of steampunk throughout, most notably Red Seas Under Red Skies features small "street piece" automatic crossbows, as well as a character with a full metal arm, used as a weapon and a key.
I found both books to be an amazingly fun read, and The Gentleman Bastard Chronicles have placed themselves firmly on my favourite series of all time. Both books also sit highly as individual works and are a credit to Lynches great literary control and writing style.
