5:45 GMT and it is still down
That space-time continuum warning filed away in OT... maybe we should have paid more attention in this instance. In other news- I got one of much-vaunted essays back today. I got a Distinction

Excellent! Of course, you do realise we're all relying on you to put a stop to the vile crime that is 'modernism', and bring back Classicism and Gothic!
Imagine, vast neo-classic shopping centres, sweeping gothic office complexes, railway stations that actually look like both trains and people use them...
Sorry, got a bit carried away there.
Re: Please let it just be me...
Yes indeed my good Herr Doctor, a complete reversal would not be unwarranted at this point in time.
Oh my Mr. Harrison, I had forgotten about that space-time continuum warning I filed away in OT. Looks as if a bit of unexpected backlash has indeed occurred. I believe sabotage of our beloved train this same day as Brassgoggles forum going down, may have indeed been in direct correlation to this proposed experiment the following week. Perhaps someone is indeed trying to discourage our little time bubble experiment.
Though complaints could have been lodged well in advance if needed, and with several months review, could have been acted upon most expediently. Though in all likely hood a decision to the relevance of the data would have been difficult at best, given the current time constraints.
I do believe however that anyone who would sabotage our lovely day out on our 1896 steamtrain is hitting a bit below the belt.
Did one perhaps consider the drinking that might ensue in order to drown our sorrows? And perhaps that might be the casue for such a drastic shift in the space-time continuum? So many variables to consider now. Next thing you know they will be out of Kraken rum as well, due to a missed shipment.
I'm guessing there has been a one hour shift from last week as suspected?

Rockula's Doppelganger here, how do you do.
Rockula was quite shocked when he found BG to be lost in the aether and has taken to his bed with a bottle of medicinal spirits.
Meanwhile he has sent myself, his trusted clone, to keep a clockwork eye on things and to make him aware once the present crisis is passed.
Spare Goggles, eh?

So.... BG has now been down long enough for me to begin a reflex click on the bookmark bar just in case it has re-appeared, phoenix like back from limbo... and I have the beginnings of a cold ...somehow the co-incidence is not lost on me.....

Honestly, that's 131+ minutes of my life I'll never get back. At least the missus managed to get a quality nap in during it though.

If we're playing THAT way, the guys that made "Mega Shark Vs. Giant Squid," followed QUICKLY by the entire cast and crew.

Re: Please let it just be me...
Well, at least I now get the 'we will be back in a few minutes' page up.
Mind you - that was about 1200 minutes ago...
So, how was my day?
I did get some quality tinkering done on my New years eve costume, the MonoGoggleBracer outfit.
See my blog:
www.austeampunk.blogspot.com
- for more on this project.
(well go on - you might as well go have a look at my blog, it's not as if you are busy on the BG forum right now is it?)

Re: Please let it just be me...
Which leads into a rather famous exchange from some old friends which begins with the Captain saying:
"How long is it?"
"That's a rather personal question!"
Ah, classic Python.
Cheers!
