Re: Please let it just be me...
No BG for a few more weeks???
(And this is the week I chose to give up glue sniffing).
It will be interesting to watch the growth stats on this forum as the word slowly gets around and the BG flock naturally migrate to the new feeding bgrounds.

Re: Please let it just be me...
Well, this is fun and all, but there were things on BG that I was really interested in.
Please excuse me whilst I pout and whine.
Thank you.

Re: Please let it just be me...
Well..I've been without a PC at home for just over a week now and so when I leave work on Friday I cannot access BG again until Monday morning when I have a weekend's backlog of posts to catch up on. I had an extra day off last weekend so expected even more posts. Lo and behold I haven't really missed a great deal coz BG is kaput! This isn't really a good thing, though. I really miss BG and even though SG is here to keep us in touch it's like getting methadone instead of a heroin fix. It's BG 'lite'...
I read earlier that there is a chance that the whole forum has disappeared into the aether!!! I sincerely hope not!
Come back BG..we neeeeeeeeeeed you!!!!!

Re: Please let it just be me...
Captain D, I'm in total agreement with you about the loss of BG, I really hope that it can be resurrected. I for one will not be taking it for granted again.... I still have an open tab on my browser where BG used to be, I keep on clicking on it hoping that it will be there. Its true what they say you don't know what you have got until its gone.

This is getting distressing for me now. More than anything else, I get seasick in lifeboats.

I'm supposed to be making a pair of custom sleeves but the measurements are trapped in my PM box on BG
If I am making you a pair of sleeves, please PM me those measurements on here so I can get started!

Re: Please let it just be me...
It is very important to keep eating little and often to keep nausea at bay. If you look under the thwart you are sitting on you will find a metal tank with a sort of round metal porthole. Turn the handle and it will come off. Inside you will find tins of condensed milk and tins of square biscuits. They may look a bit like dog biscuits and they are very hard to the teeth but they are pleasantly sweet. Dip in your condensed milk and ask the boat commander for a sip of water.James Harrison wrote:This is getting distressing for me now. More than anything else, I get seasick in lifeboats.
The nausea will soon pass.
I however had the forethought to bring my miniature of Hendricks and the officer doesnt know this, or i am sure he would have confiscated it for medical purposes, or his own gratification, so I will fend off the seasickness with a tiny sip.
On the cheering front, those others in the liferaft will be feeling a lot sicker than we are in our boat. Lets crank up the clockwork radio and see if we can raise the World Service!

Yeah, I'm not getting it either.
And to make things really fun, I'm also dealing with a bloody virus on my computer (PW.exe), which is being somewhat problematic...
