Users (new & old) - Please Read Before Posting!
Due to an unfortunate miscommunication in one of our threads causing a member to leave the forum, I am posting this advisory (as suggested by several forum members) -
Warning - Exchange of Ideas Ahead !
The threads on this forum are conceived as topics of conversation, which means, as in any conversation, that once you make your comment, anyone else joining the conversation may make a comment, and (as in the course of normal conversation) various other related topics may be introduced. While people are encouraged to stay "on topic", please be aware that any given topic has the potential to go in several directions at once.
If you are posting information that you feel strongly about and do not want the flow of information to be interrupted, it may be preferable to post said information on a personal blog and post a link to the group.
We hope to maintain the spirit of Brass Goggles in this forum, and wish it to remain a place for the free, open, polite, friendly, and sometimes ridiculously silly exchange of information & ideas. Above all, this is a place of camaraderie and community.
Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Mrs. Sullivan

You'd think some people have never actually used the internet before.

Yup, dealing with neophytes and fringers is sometimes difficult. In my view such a warning is not ncessary, and yet clearly needed. markf

........Uhm.....Ok - I obviously missed something. Who left, and what about??
As I said not so long ago on a certain topic on the BG forum - this whole 'arguments on forums' thing is SOOOO old, and done to death. Why the hell does anyone need to take whats said on th INTERNET (of all things!) so seriously?

Most excellently put. Thank you for taking the time to address this most frustrating issue. You are an excellent ambassador, Mrs. Sullivan.
