Looking for a wind-up motor, see details...

I am working on a design for a wind-up flyer for a spinning wheel. The flyer is the part that collects the spun yarn onto the bobbin. There are geared-versions of a flyer-winder out there, namely the WooLee Winder, which is a fine winder, but you cant use your own bobbin on the flyer, they sell geared bobbins at a hefty price that only fit on their winder.

I have been wracking my brain for the past few weeks trying to come up with a design that would replace the traditional flyer with a key-wound flyer that will accomodate a standard bobbin. To me, this is a natural progression from the standard flyer, wherein you have to stop spinning every few minutes to advance the yarn on the flyer to another hook. With a "key wound mechanical flyer hook advancer" (damn that sounds awfully steampunk, dont it?) that would last at least 1/2 hour to 45 minutes before needing rewinding, the process of spinning yarn becomes smoother and less sticatto.

I have the ability to make anything...seriously, anything. I have been an artist/blacksmith for 25 years, have worked with steel, iron, bronze, aluminum, titanium, etc., can machine small and large parts, am familiar with gears.gear ratios, etc. but I need to wrack some more brains than my own to hash out just exactly what this project needs.

So, to summarize;

Looking for high-torque wind-up motor that is small enough and light enough to fit on a spinning wheel

Looking for small chain-drive, similar to the chain drive in a small clock, or pocketwatch

When finished, the design will look rather elegant, since I plan on making the top and bottom plates of the flyer skeletonized, similar to a skeleton pocketwatch or clock, so the gears can be seen working.

I apologize in advance if I have not explained my wants and needs to a degree that will make things easier for you, but its sometimes hard to put what inside my brain down on paper....or keyboard...screen....oh, you know what I mean
