A call for aid

i need input on a character design and this seemed the best place to come.

imagine you're a 23 year old male police detective who, while attempting to defend a young women from an uncertain enemy, had your heart torn out and replaced by clockwork which has to be rewound every 48 hours, the key to which is kept safe by the young women who you protected.

now, imagine you were going to get a heart tattoo on your chest to mask the clockwork mechanism and make it harder for others to notice immediately.

my problem being that i can't decide on the design of the heart tattoo and its driving me nuts! this seemed the best place to ask for input as you're all such an inventive group.

I would tattoo a complex clock. 1 it would mask the clockwork and 2 it's 'my ticker'....
