Latest Topics box: Scrolling vs Static
OK, I've turned off the scrolling (and increased the count to 18 topics).
So the question is, which do you prefer?
(Poll runs for 3 days, vote can be cancelled.)

Re: Latest Topics box: Scrolling vs Static
It's very tall.
I voted "For" in the other poll, but that was for the convenience of the content, rather than for the scrollingness of the thing. As some here have issues with the scroll of a far more serious nature than mere ęsthetic objection, perhaps the stationary sidebar is the way to go?

If we adopt the static box, we can poll again on the height. Looks like ~13 items would fit on my screen but I'm sure that's highly variable.

Re: Latest Topics box: Scrolling vs Static
Very long but practical, I liked the scroll effect but the health issues for others far outweigh my personal preference(as others have posted above), I've change my vote to "static"

Voted for static - I find it easier to see the new topics than the scrolling one. Plus, of course, more friendly to epileptics.

Re: Latest Topics box: Scrolling vs Static
I'll vote for the more healthful (static) option as well, please.
You don't know how many others might visit who have the same issue as the one poster. Plus, this is better for anyone who might be visiting on a slower computer.

Agreed – it's also much easier to click on the new topics when they're not trying to escape.
