REVAMPING my Steampunk Shoppe @ ETSY

Post  TheSpectraNova on Wed Nov 10, 2010 8:51 am

Did a photo shoot on Halloween with the lovely Jenny Choate to help revamp my Etsy shoppe. Business in rather slow because it's pointless to keep renewing items when people re list their items 3 times a day because they can. It's one of the sad facts of etsy. The starving artist must find other ways to promote!

Enjoy these wicked pics!

Pics are fine it is the ads for your store that got them moved but I understand I have an etsy myself and I try to promote it too when I can.

I see. promoting for Etsy is pretty hard. I like to think that I've got some really unique stuff, but I feel a bit under appreciated. For as much as I post on Facebook , my blog, etc, it seems like responses are so limited and it doesn't get my anywhere. SIGH. I just don't get it.

It is hard, My sales are down but I think being able to go sell at the ren fair and various events helps. Seeing things in person really boosts my sales and getting the word out about my wears. I have never come out of an event not at least braking even.

I agree. The first con/expo I ever was a vendor at was the World Steam Expo in Detroit! It was a blast and I did really awesome. I think a lot of people feel the same way about being able to touch it and look at it in person helps. I plan on doing the WSX again next year, and I have an event coming up Nov 24th!

Where would I post about events and a call for artists needed for the event?
