David Icke and reality Empty David Icke and reality

Post  Icke Fri Nov 05, 2010 7:09 pm

Hello
I was just wondering if any of you have read "Tales of the timeloop" by David Icke? Or his "Children of the Matrix"? Are there Steampunk Icke minded people? In Tales he explains how reality and history is not set in stone. Isn't that a steampunk notion?

I've started a steampunk thread on his forums here:

This would be the same David Icke who believes in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, occasionally flirts with Holocaust denial, said the world would end in 1997, claims that flu vaccinations are part of an attempt to cull the world's population and that large numbers of senior politicians are part of of a ring of Satanist child-molesters or members of the international Illuminati conspiracy attempting to bring about the "New World Order. And this is before we even get on to the subject of the Lizard Aliens.

Somehow, I have a feeling that you won't find many fans of his round here. Also, you seem to be misunderstanding the entire Steampunk concept, which is based around fictional alternate histories rather than any actual attempts at historical revisionism or any of this fatuous postmodernist nonsense about there being no such thing as hard facts or reality.

Or maybe that's just what THEY want me to think...

Deepest apologies, Herr Döktor, but that was my posting referencing his earlier posting. Hope I didn't tread on anyone's toes, but it seemed far too uncannily appropriate for it not to be seen here as well.

Cheers!

I think Capt L did right to alert all to the need for PPE in this thread.

I used to know Icke slightly, a million years ago when he was in the Green party. I think all these ideas of his are a direct result of the brain-frying drugs the medics put him on when he damaged his knees in his professional football career. Actually I think the turquoise thing is the worst of all his fruitloopery.

David Icke and reality Empty "Icke"-ery

Post  neon_suntan Sun Nov 07, 2010 11:55 pm

I heard an mp3 of one of his 'presentations' once, they're normally about 3 hours long.

For the first hour or so he comes across as coherent and if not right then certainly with some interesting if misguided interpretations of historical events... then he starts with the lizards.....

So all that really marks him apart from the rest of the lunatic fringe is his background in journalism.

But for true WTF conspiracy then try a sample of Alex Jones Rolling Eyes

David Icke and reality Empty thanks for responding

Post  Icke Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:51 am

Thanks to you all for at least a response, I'm not really an avid chat fan, but I have followed these 2 threads. I'm more of a wild west punk man myself, with a Gibson J200 and a whole load of Hank Snow and Hank Williams songs, although my musical interest is much wider than that. The Icke interest is strong though, what with 911 being an inside job and all that, but I thought the reptillian connection would appeal to steampunk. The thread on the Icke site has brought a few people out who crossover, I still think we're connected as distant relatives. Alex Jones is cool too.
