Surreal Steampunk Pantomime
A surrealist, steampunk, absurd pantomime MANDRAKE'S MAGNIFICENT MACHINE is coming very soon... an alternative Christmas tale from the Playhouse community in Bradford.
Sword fights, music, comedy, dance, and stretches the boundaries of theatrical production with its amazing, nay astounding set of characters. The audience will be in for the time of their lives in a dizzying phantasmagorical journey deep into the vaults of their imagination. Characters will leap forth from the boards and bring the fairy tale of pantomime to life with unbelievable verve.

Re: Surreal Steampunk Pantomime
Been discussing arrangements for this via Facebook, looking likely that the Saturday evening will be the best time for most people.

Re: Surreal Steampunk Pantomime
I once directed a pantomime based on the life of Caligula. We had a traditional panto horse and everything!

That is so wrong.
Especially for the person playing the rear of the horse.

Re: Surreal Steampunk Pantomime
There was much "have you seen my horsey, he's very naughty!" "HE'S BEHIND YOU!" going on.......

Now I wish I'd seen it, if only so I could wish that I hadn't...

Re: Surreal Steampunk Pantomime
It was for my final year GCSE theatre exam as well, which adds an extra dimension of weird........
I do miss directing, but fear people will have heard of my previous works........

Re: Surreal Steampunk Pantomime
Did you get a distinction, or a fail?
Because I'd've be sorely tempted to have given you both!
