Future Project: Stun Glove
Yes, I'm planning on creating a low-voltage stun-glove in the near future. I have my own ideas, but input would be greatly appreciated to make sure I don't kill myself.
And I'm going to do it, no matter how many people say "bad idea".
edit: Yes, I will be attempting to give it a 'Steampunk' look.

You may be surprised it was first done in 1935. markf

Re: Future Project: Stun Glove
What sort of power source are you planning on using? And the mode of delivery, I'm assuming you're going to have some kind of metal plates hooked up, but where on your hand will they go?
It's a cool idea.

Here are some ideas and/or resources.
(a) This company is making a product called the 'No Contact Jacket'. It is marketed for women as a defensive product and has exposed high voltage contact points, so if the person wearing the jacket is grabbed the attacker can be shocked off the victim. http://www.no-contact.com/
(b) You'll have to decide the levels of volts and amps works for you invention, but if you are looking to have the unit self-contained within the glove then the unit likely needs to be as small as practical. Here are some small handhelds with different design characteristics - a lipstick case, sub-cigarette pack, or ones that are finger wraparounds. By removing the 'guts' of these already small devices from their cases to incorporate into the glove will also cut down on the overall size of the invention. markf

Re: Future Project: Stun Glove
I am actually making one myself to go with my Doctor Doom Armor. For the price of a taser, you can fabricate one by cannibalizing the electronics out of the taser, and putting them into a glove. Simply make sure though that your glove is rubber lined, and that the contact points are also insulated. Electricity takes the path of least resistance, and you can end up tasing yourself.
