Tally ho! There's plans for a raffle in the pipeline too. Any additional money raised (once costs have been covered) by ticket sales will be donated to the MS Trust so we're carrying on the fundraising idea with the raffle, too. (And not just because the supremely talented Ms Horne has promised to donate some of her jewellery as a prize and I want my chance to win it
). So once BG is back up, I'll be putting feelers out to anyone that may want to donate a prize.
In the meantime... where do I get a book of raffle tickets from??

I can... I managed to find a room here: http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/the-pear-tree-inn-country.html?aid=331704%3Blabel%3Dworcesterguesthouses.co.uk%3Bsid%3Dcb4235c4984a5c99c680bd4041d5a227
As of last night they still had rooms available for the Saturday night, and it is not too far from the city centre.

BG's downtime is the worst possible timing in terms of contacting folk to let them know the details for this... my email, should anyone need it, is steamblast_mary@yahoo.co.uk.
Please, please, if you know someone who expressed an interest in it on BG direct them here, or straight to me! I'd hate to think people would miss out because they couldn't get the details in time

Hi Everyone, I really hope that you are all going to have a wonderful time. I'm afraid that the Good lady wife and myself are unable to come as we are away on holiday. (its funny that there is always something good on during my holidays
)
Please take loads of pictures so I can see what i've missed.

The Foss family will be sadly missed, but I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time on holiday.
I've emailed Capt. Bellinger via the email on his website; Mr Bellows is in the middle of moving house but I have ways of contacting him (Thanks, Himself and Governess!). Also, I'm hoping he can put the fellow that goes by "Mr Pitt" on BG in touch, as he also expressed enthusiasm.
As for Saffron Postlewaite and a handful of others, I'm afraid I can only hope they are on Facebook as members of the British Steampunk Community as I'll put a link on there*. Otherwise we'll just have to hope out beloved BG is back soon! (and I'll be putting a donation in towards the running costs when it is. You don't know what you've got until it's gone, do you?)
*Unless someone else is able to, please?... I can't get on FB at work.

My goodness; what it is to be in demand!
Mrs B and I fully intend to be with you chaps on the 4th, assuming that all goes to plan. I haven't purchased tickets yet, but "I'm expecting a Postal Order", which should provide some much-needed funding.
We are so looking forward to learning to waltz - even if only the rudiments!

Re: Worcester (UK) Victorian Christmas Fair... and Dance- 4th December
HELP!!
Do any attendees have any experience in Ballroom dancing, so they may partner the would-be Instructor?
Does anyone (local, ideally) have a sound system that can cope with a large-ish hall??
Please...
