Ripping good day then old sportRowan of Rin wrote:So, how was everyone's day? I spent 4 hours in a lab, looking at small things under a microscope. Flatworms are so damn cute!
Oh, and one of the lab assistants complimented me on my WWII officers boots, and said they looked "quite steampunk".I hope mine can be as good, I gotta try to get to Taskers (hardware store) very soon!
My day is being spent making a vain but valiant attempt to pack away all the things in my dorm room. Too much stuff, not enough boxes. Still, I intend to go box hunting later. It seems that they are nocturnal creatures, at least according to the woman in the supermarket... after ten pm...
Where did I put my net?

It is good to have a bolthole to run too, isn't it?
I blame myself, this is not the first time it's gone horizontal just after I'd updated one of my projects...

From here,it looks as if BG has an attack of the summer vapours.
A nice nap on the sleeping porch, some chilled juice and a bit of china-painting ought to put things to
right directly.
Had I not this refuge to fall back on,I might be tempted to catch up on the tasks I ignored while we were
beset by the grippe, inclement weather and my husband's hospitalization for gall bladder inflammation.
(The dear is much better and has reassumed his painting and craftwork with unprecedented gusto.)
We may just get some of our steamier projects done if the rains keep us out of the garden and the BG glitch limits our time on the aethernet.
We missed Nashcon and the Ren Faire at Triune but we might seek out the Wartrace Musicfest if you
folks promise we won't miss too much on here should we be absent.

Hullo, All!
I say, as lifeboats go, this one's not bad, not bad at all...much more comfortable than the ones after that nasty bit of business with the iceberg...I can still hear the sousaphone gurgling "Nearer My God To Thee" as it slipped under...*shudder*

Qc
Now, I have heard of a lot of odd things to race - horses to jumping frogs - but never in all my days have I heard of anything as strange as that. How do you judge a winner? What are the stakes?
Is there a track near there that the town was named after? How fast does a wart travel, anyhow?
Oooh.... War... Trace... I see. Well, that's different then.
Never Mind....
Cheers
Chas.
(Bless you, Emily Litella, wherever you are!)
