Good thing BG blog wasn't one of the sites I linked to my grandma so she'd know what kind of stuff to get me for Christmas

Re: Uh oh... anyone else?
Why don;t we all just migrate here? There is really no difference between SG and BG, once one realizes that a forum community is what the members make it, not where it lives on the net, or what software it runs on, or how it looks..
Besides, the signal to noise ration is better over here
Cheers

Re: Uh oh... anyone else?
BG is so big it's easy to feel a little lost and overwhelmed. I do like the post volume when I am looking for things to look at online though.

Re: Uh oh... anyone else?
I love the post volume on BG but it's too big to keep up with more than a fraction of the topics. If the subject doesn't catch my eye then I'm not likely to look at it I'm afraid.
I love the community over here (I know it's smaller than and part of the BG community, but this seems to be the best portion in my opinion. )

Re: Uh oh... anyone else?
BG feels like the huge bustling pub or bar full of people, with music and victorian sights and sounds at every turn and a busy marketplace out front to top it all off, and spare goggles feels more like the cozy little tea room come absinthe-drinking-spot 'round the back, that only a few have stumbled across
I can see the appeal of both but I will use BG while it is working, and SG while it is not.
However as you may be able to tell I check back here every so often

I love that description. It seems to explain what I just tried to say in another thread much better than I could. I prefer the hustle and bustle of the "pub" when I am looking for stuff to browse through to occupy my time like Lilibat said. But it can be overwhelming and it is nice to slow down and find a more secluded place to relax and converse.
