Got some spare cash? Fred Dibnah's house is up for sal agaian..
Figured to sell in the £250,00-£300,000 range...
Hmm, if I sold my place, I could get about £170,000, might have to borrow a bit...
Cheers

Anyone know exactly where it is?
I've been pondering purchasing my own personal place

It's in Bolton.. I think I have the address somewheres. One of the issues for a potential buyer is that the house is listed (Grade II) with English heritage, and that does put a few restrictions on what one can do with it...

(I have some pics of the interior, I'll scan them and post later)

In Google Earth:
LAT - 53°34'35.37"N
Long - 2°24'48.43"W
As far as being close, Bolton's just over 20 miles south of my ancestral hometown of Clitheroe.

Yeah! Right!
Like us Lancastrians would let you take it away!
We don't mind you having unimportant stuff like London Bridge.

Re: Got some spare cash? Fred Dibnah's house is up for sal agaian..
There was a nasty row over inheritance betweeen Fred's first wivesm, and Sheila, his widow. Fred leaf an estate well in excess of 1 million pounds.
One of his sons is still active in the steam traction hobby, and Sheila was the main driver in the campaign (sucessfull, I might add) to gte a statue of Fred erected in Bolton.. The statue has its detractors, who feel it looks "n'owt like oor Fred"..
Cheers

Aye, even we expat Lancashiremen would kick up a row over that.. As me gaffer would have said "ye be askin' for some clog toe pie, then lad?"
I must admit, it was watching dear old Fred's videos that brought back memories, just listening to him talk took ne straight back to grandad again, (may the both rest in piece and not be lacking pints in heaven).
Heck, it was Fred that got me wearing the good old Northern falt cap again, albeit, you can;t get good ones over here in the colonies.. I must get over to the home county one day and buy a few, in a local store, that Fred MIGH have used..
(or failing that find a purveyor online of the genuine artcle...)
Cheers

One of the most important prerequisites for sainthoods, statues and suchlike is you gotta be dead, which means you don't get much say in the matter...
