Colour scheme competition
Suggest a new colour scheme for the forum! It will be changed to the winner's design
Also if anyone wants to put forward an icon I'm sure I can find a place for it to be used

Charcoal grey, if it's available?

I would prefer anthracite, it has more of a steamy connection....

Please ... for starters ... please get rid of the Hot Pink! I'm already having a headache.
Then we can work something out, I'm sure.

Oh, thank you, good sir!
Really, y'know, echoing some of the colors in that paisley swatch might work ...

Re: Colour scheme competition
I originaly tried to, but my attempts at changing the colour have been a bit hit & miss as far as being able to select them... Also the pale yellow illicted a rather bad response from one member I think I'll keep it as 70's colours untill I have a bit longer to play around with it & sort out something a bit more attractive. I'm also wondering if I can try to sort out a tophatted smily set...
Re: Colour scheme competition
Actually, the colors are not unlike those we decorated our first apartment with - in 1965!
However, it was more splashes of bright on a fairly neutral background.
(Curiously, we have an Indian bedspread and a couple of dhurries in very similar colors now. Not currently in use however.)

Re: Colour scheme competition
Maybe replace the red with teal? Or crimson? Cuz it's still a tad too intense.
Much improved overall though.

Re: Colour scheme competition
I'd say keep the tan and pale orange - replace the mustard yellow with a light teal and the red/pink with a navy blue, then you would approximate the colors in the paisley above. Although it is rather pleasantly colorful as is - my only real objection would be to colored text on a colored background - eye searing!

Re: Colour scheme competition
Considering it is spare goggles, I would think a darker, danker, muddier version of BG, a bit like the engine room, or the prefab where we are in refuge.

Khaki tan and olive drab - for that "bivouac" feel?
(I'm not sure what all these smilies mean, but they are fun!)

Re: Colour scheme competition
How about something like this (ignore the text which doesn't cope well with the colour editor)?

I agree 100%, even these colours are quite a strain! Prof. Fzz's suggestion is perfect in my opinion.

I must also second the good Professor. Those colours are perfect.

Re: Colour scheme competition
I also agree that the aforementioned color scheme is quite pleasing to the eye.
Although it does make me feel rather as though I've been trapped in a Gucci handbag...

Re: Colour scheme competition
I rather like the colour scheme! Seriously. It reminds me of the old bungalows from primary school. They would be set up as temporary buildings to accommodate the overflow of students while the main building was remodeled.
...the school was never remodeled, of course, and the old carriages, with their funky, lead paint, became permanent. Good times...
Black and white would be nice--with a dash of corner ornamentation and daguerreotype shadows here and there?

Re: Colour scheme competition
Hahaha, I just read this thread - and then the colours began to change, then I went back to the main page, and they change some more, and now a green backdrop has appeared. Thank cog I wasn't stoned - that would have messed with my head!
Looks quite nice BTW !

Re: Colour scheme competition
Sorry about the spinach- I knew my internet was going to be turned off, so the colour was hastily chosen
What do people think of the colour scheme now I think its a bit more apt rather than my neon or 70's colours...
