For the time being I'm opening General Banter to anyone who comes along- this is as a few people from BG are having trouble registering, so this gives somewhere that one may post, without the hassles of registration

yep you can swear- but it puts a * in certain swearwords -otherwise Mr tulip style not quite swearing is fine -although I'd advise against using it a punctuation 
Also I realise the forum is a pig to join I keep hearing about people having dificulties, but as of yet I've not found a way to make registration easier -in most cases people have had to register with a different email
