This will appeal to those following the politics of the Victorian era and they will be very familiar with the "Peterloo Massacre" and later the Chartist Movement.
My home town has finally erected a "Blue Plaque" (familiar to anyone in the UK or visitors to the UK) on the site of Dr McDouall's medical practice (sometimes spelt McDougall) to celebrate his connection with the Chartist Movement and the political changes they managed to initiate.
The original building still exists and would appear to be little changed externally in 150 years but is now a very different kind of shop in a very changed town.
All we need now is a proper and fitting "Peterloo" memorial in Manchester near St.Peter's Square.

Hmmm... "thank you for the post."

Hi, Donna - welcome aboard... unless, of course, your sig line is just shilling for an on line "free cinema" site, in which case I am pretty sure that "Donna" doesn't exist.

There are rules against spamming. For a reason. If I am mistaken, please correct this unfortunate impression on my part.

Cheers!

Chas.
