Piano we received for free in turn for removing it from a friends rental property. They thought it was a 1960's era from a number stamp on the back. It is actually a 1910 Smith & Barnes upright grand. Some horrible person covered it in white primer. I will be hand sanding that off all winter. The finish underneath looked great in the test spot we sanded.

And good luck with all that sanding. It is sure to turn out magnificent (though I must say it does look rather striking in white...that's likely irrelevant).
