The BG forums are back, BUT ...
They seem a bit ... shaky ... at the moment - the furnishings come and go, and it's been reported that new folks (who arrived here but had never registered at BG) are having registration problems.
I do hope this will all clear up real fast.
Meanwhile, I'd locked six threads that were continuations from BG, and linked them back into their original threads over there. This may have been premature
or not ... at any rate, if for any reason you want any of these threads unlocked, let me know.
Now, as I mentioned elsewhere, aside from the continuation threads (and I think I got them all, but I could be wrong
), it seems to me that the starter of each thread should probably figure out what to do with it (nobody else started more than 14, so it shouldn't be a burden). Some topics have naturally petered out, but others are active, so you may want to either continue it here or link it into BG. However, the new folks who have had trouble registering won't be able to follow it over there until that's resolved.

Re: The BG forums are back, BUT ...
In view of the unsettled conditions at the BG forums, I'll unlock the six threads I locked earlier.
Hopefully this will not result in too much confusion ...

Re: The BG forums are back, BUT ...
I don't mind linking the threads I originated to the BG forum; however, I just noticed that the buttons (or in this case) links used to insert the proper coding for me to create a hypertext link don't seem to be working, so I would need to handtype the code, and I'm not certain I know how to do that for this sort of forum. Would it be the same as regular HTML code, only with square brackets used in the place of the angled ones? Or should I perhaps wait until the BG forum's formatting and buttons have all gone back to normal?

The buttons do not seem to be working, you are right.
Actually, though, all I've been doing is simply dropping the URL into the message body, which works fine on both forums, makes it a no-brainer.

Re: The BG forums are back, BUT ...
I think I've cross-linked all of the threads that I originated now. If I missed one that you think would be of interest there, please let me know. Not that I've tended to be an originator of Terribly Important Topics or anything.
