UCSDL - Baltimore/Annapolis/DC/NoVA SteamPunknic/Workshop
Still on track (so to speak) for Sunday the 19th. Weather reports are good, expecting a high in the lower 80s (around 28 Centigrade, 301 Kelvin) with low humidity, slight chance of scattered t-storms. That may change, of course.
On the agenda:
-Grills light off around 12; bring your own grill meats if you like, but we will have burgers, dogs, and perhapschildren chicken as well. If you want to bring other things - drinks, potato(e) salad(e), rum chips, what-have-you, feel free. Give me a heads-up on what you can bring if possible.
-I hope to have some display areas and workspace set up, pending weather - we can swap inspiration and insight into project details and finishing. I will have power cords and some tools available - let me know if you would like something in particular set up in advance. No 220 volt power at this time, sorry; and I am still awaiting parts for my Mr. Fusion, so that's out as well.
-The Camerae Obscurae have promised us a presentation - it sounds great! - I hope others can bring some show-and-tell as well.
-If you have a Curiosity - a Gadget with obscure purpose, whether you have figured it out or not, bring it! We will all try our best, and come up with an answer, correct or not.
Looking forward to this!
Cheers!
Chas.

Re: UCSDL - Baltimore/Annapolis/DC/NoVA SteamPunknic/Workshop
Do we have any sort of head count? I believe the wife is planning on bringing afew dishes (filed with something good to eat of course...) but she is unsure which recipe to use... the one for a small gathering or the one for the 3rd Regiment...
We will be trying to arrive at 10:30, but sometimes the little one will cause travel delays...
We have not gathered our supply/project/oddities yet to bring, but I am curious if you have an oxy/acetylene torch... If no, no big deal... I don't care to transport my little set in the hot weather...
I still have your cell #, but please email your address: jringling@hotmail.com

Details sent.
Headcount is changeable, of course - I don't have access to everybody who has checked in until BG is back up.
I believe it was about 17 total, though I haven't heard from Captain Black and a few others, it could go higher. Those who have not checked in recently, if you happen to be reading this, please check in on this thread.
Thank you all!
Cheers!

Looks like I'm out for this meeting. I've been 'volunteered' for horse duty leaving me an approx noon-NLT 3 PM window to have fun (ie, nothing to do with equines), and as at least 2-2.5 hrs would be burned driving it is hasta la vista until the next one. Ah, summer time, when the air wafts with the fine bouquet of horsesh*t. markf

Oh, dang. I am sorry, Mark - I wish I had known about the scheduling sooner, we could have done something. You will be missed.
Okay, the headcount is down by one. We will take pictures and make sure that you get them.
Anybody else in or out?
Cheers!

BG is still bouncing in and out, 500 errors is a lot!
I am trying to get PMs out to everybody with address and phone number. I will try to contact everybody who has expressed even the tiniest bit of interest.
Gaah.
Cheers!
