The 'spare goggles', of course, will be included - and I shall be donating a tin of Lipton to the venture. (*Grin*)

What I wish to know is what you would care to 'donate' to the handsomely-cased kit - let me know what Item you would place in such a kit, and how you wish it to be credited. (For the unimaginative, 'donated by X' ...

Words of advice for young people.

William S Burroughs wrote a piece called "Words of advice for young people" which can be found here.

So, I was wondering if any of you have any words of advice for young people. The age of the person saying it is irrelevant.

What prompted this in my mind were the immortal words of Woody Guthrie while I was washing dishes this morning... "Keep your skillet good and greasy".

So, what advice would you like to share?

Economies of scale aside, there just is not that much machining necessary for the smaller mobile engines. There are so few manufacturers (older engines are all considered antiques) that they seem to treat the market like a virtual monopoly (you sell yours over there, I'll sell mine over here, and we won't have any of that silly "Free ...

But I know there's a small but dedicated scene of people into collecting the old 78rpm discs that played on gramaphones,

1) What do they use to play their discs?

Some record players used to have the option of 16, 33, 45 and 78 rpm with a needle that could toggle for the neccessary media, but I doubt these are still made.

What I'd really like is a wind-up record ...

For Steampunk: I would say I really liked D. Gray man and Samurai 7 (People debate the latter, but I lump in similar genres created recently.)

For nonsteampunk- Right now I really like Nabari No Ou and Mushi-Shi.

Warning: This is only loosely related to steampunkedness, but I am very bored at work and had the need to post.....

Additional warning: instead of simply posting links, the reader will have to do alittle work...

Go to google maps and search for “Mallow's Bay, Maryland”

With the satellite view on, zoom in on the blue bubble “A”. Zoom in real close and look alittle north of the "A" bubble.

This is the largest ship graveyard in the US. ...

Currently in process of getting a little article put together about the art of a recent film involving some of the concept team involved in the project. Not saying which film yet as I don't want to spoil it. Anyways that shall be up on Aether Emporium within next few weeks if things go well.
