Almost. We hated the fireplace. It was BIG--way too big for the space--and made of ugly white bricks (not white PAINTED--both bricks and mortar are white), and the white brick hearth is 9 inches high. Various attempts to improve the looks of the monstrosity included building bookshelves on each side, and decorating it extensively for Christmas and other holidays. No I didn't make a spelling mistake and no this isn't about burgulary! A joule is a very tiny measure of electricity, and a joule theif circuit sucks out the last bits of power from a run down battery. They allow you to light LEDs from a single AA battery! No longer do you need 3 volts for one LED, you can use a single 1.5 volt battery! And if you divert the circuit two ways where you would connect the LED you can run two from one joule theif circuit and one ...
