Since there seems to be a bit of interest, I'd be willing to add some member-supplied flags to the collection, as long as it doesn't get out of hand

The rules:

If possible, supply a .png, with transparent background. If you can't do the background, I can add it.

The flag should be 32px wide. If you supply the background, it should be vertically centered in a 32x32px square.

Just post a message with the image embedded (or the URL if you have trouble with that) to this thread.

Goggles appear to come into mainstream life during the Edwardian era, with adoption by early pilots, motorcyclists, and automobilists. I've looked through my collections of Victorian steam equipment pictures,(railroads, mills, enginemen, etc, ...

One of the fellows who built this car is also on another steampunk forum I check into.

He posted this link to a newspaper article about a recent event he participated in, and a video of the steamcar - http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/localnews/ci_10668496"

He will have the car at the Bay Area Steampunk Convention taking place in San Jose on Halloween weekend. Quite the contraption!

Greetings!

My father has finally accepted my eccentricities and is allowing me to order some accoutrements from the Gentlemans Emporium soon.

But as always, a spanner has fallen in the works: My neck measurement is 16 1/2" and my Sleeve measures 35" which places me in their Large clothing size category. but my chest measures only 40"...

Would I be alright ordering large shirts and large waistcoats with medium coats, Or should I order large "everything". ...

Ok, so I am a bit of a magpie. I like pretty shiny things. How does a gent add a bit of 'pretty' (or bling if you like) to his outfits? Now I already wear an owl brooch I own, and a pocket watch on occasion, but what else is there? I do like rings and own many, but I fear they just sometimes don't go with my garb. I also do have a tigers eye tie pin that I think I under use. Of course there are cufflinks, but unfortunately they often go unnoticed if hidden up a jacket sleeve.
I've been posting around today because I finally found one of my favorite songs online-

Through the Grass and Pines-second song here

I saw Phantom Buffalo a few years ago at a free show inside a parking complex, and I haven't found that song anywhere else since. I love how they use piano, organ, melodica, accordion, sitar, and other endangered instruments in many of their songs.

Also..."They Might Be Giants" use the accordion and other instruments-

I have been seeing trailers for this on TV, considering this means it has attracted my attention as i speed through the adverts using sky + (somewhat like TiVo, as far as i can tell) it means it looks pretty cool, from images alone, and the story seems pretty decent too.
