Anyway, this is a combat and tech based game.

Green is a funny colour - there are good greens and bad greens. There are a lot of shades of green I hate but rich dark emerald green is a lovely colour. So it is with Country Music - I'm not keen on the sparkly Rhinestone Cowboy, "Countrypolitan" style, but as serious modern American folk music, I like it.

Searching for metal hole punch brings up the usual stationery supplies, but nothing along those lines. Anyone got any suggestsions where I can get something like that in the UK from?

Here's the basic idea: A pendulum suspended above a grid of halved ping pong balls.
Yowza, this simple looking mantle clock had quite a bit of complex thought behind it. Containers of alcohol are heated and the pressurized vapor pushes liquid in a connecting pipe to another container, which then gets heavier, evantually causing more stuff to move. More dieselpunk than steam (well, acutally it is alcohol steam), but utterly fascinating. markf

Not at all steampunk, but I'm quite proud of them anyway. And I'd like to show them off. I designed and made these with the help of my mom (the experienced jeweler). They each consist of 2 14K white gold rings joined at an infinity symbol (draw your symbolisms where you will). The inner ring of each spins freely inside the outer, giving me something to fidget with (that was a requirement). My and my wife's rings match.

What are Goths?

I do not want to be rude, but to be truthfully honest, I just don't know what Goths are (well other than the German tribes that invaded France a really long time ago).......I always thought that the Goths they were a mix of vampire, and Charles Addams cartoons... kinda tongue in cheek..dark fun.

This year at Burning Man, I wanted to go visit the Goth camp....but they were arguing, and split up, so it wouldn't have been any fun to go there.

So I still do not know what the Goths are.... ...

So Mr. S & I attended the HP Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, OR this weekend.

The film festival was pretty good - as always, the films are a mixed bag. The feature film I saw ("Dark Paradox") was a bit cheesy. There were some good short films - "AM 1200", "Casting Call of Cthulhu", "Eel Girl", "The Amazing Screw On Head", "The Outsider". We ran into Mr. & Mrs. Crowe on Fri. night, and again on Saturday, & had ...

So, here's the deal,

After the ol' computer caught the techno-zombie virus a while back, many of the more useful programs were lost in the repair process (I still haven't gotten Word back on it). One of the less useful but fun programs was Civilization III: Conquests.

Now my problem is that I have the user code, but only the first (the play disc) and third discs, the second being lost despite my best search efforts. Now I have a friend and neighbor who also has Civ III, and I'm wondering ...

This will appeal to those following the politics of the Victorian era and they will be very familiar with the "Peterloo Massacre" and later the Chartist Movement.

My home town has finally erected a "Blue Plaque" (familiar to anyone in the UK or visitors to the UK) on the site of Dr McDouall's medical practice (sometimes spelt McDougall) to celebrate his connection with the Chartist Movement and the political changes they managed to initiate.
